ADL Committee Minutes - May 2019

Minutes of the meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Committee held at

7.30 p.m. on Wednesday 1 May 2019 at Aylesbury Tennis Club

Present:P Rice, Mrs M Harrison,R Lipscombe,I Macleod,M Pollard,N Sabatini, K Saw,R Small,Mrs M Stevens, M Thoday,

 Apologies,T Munt, T Skeggs

Peter welcomed Liz Verral and David Grainge, Berks and Bucks FA CEO and Chairman to the meeting.

Liz informed the committee that they wanted to notify us of changes within Berks and Bucks.  They felt it was important to involve more people onto the Council and would like a representative from each league to attend meetings.  The representative would be expected to attend four meetings a year, two to Berks and Bucks HQ in Abingdon and 2 with the other members of their division.  There will be four divisions, north, south, east and west, Aylesbury would be with Milton Keynes in the north division.  The idea is for the representatives to put forward thoughts and ideas and report back to their league with decisions that had been made.

The committee agreed to consider the proposal, but informed Liz that the main problem was lack of communication.  One area concerns referees, another the council pitch problem that we have.

Alastair Kay (Berks and Bucks) is writing a booklet about the new rules and it was asked that he write another on the decisions that could be made by our league re: teams and players and those that need to go first to County.  Liz and David left the meeting at 8.15 and the business of the committee commenced.

The Minutes: of the meeting of 3 Aprilwere accepted.

Matters Arising:

The plans for HS2 seem to change constantly, so we do not yet know if the football pitches at Fairford Leys will be affected.

Peter has declined, on behalf of the committee, the offer of Aylesbury FC to hold our Cup Finals at their ground.Margaret has corresponded with the clubs involved with the behaviour of their spectators and Tom has written to the lady who made the complaint.

Lisa Welling of Berks and Bucks has informed us that they are re-introducing the Aylesbury Summer League which they ran two seasons ago.  Her email will be forwarded to clubs.
