ADL Committee Minutes - February 2014

Minutes of the meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Executive Committee held on Wednesday 5 February 2014 At Bucks CC Sports and Social Club

Present: P Rice, D Bayliss, M. Dobson, Mrs M Harrison, M Pollard, N Sabatini, T Skeggs, K Saw, Mrs M Stevens, A Swain, M Thoday.

The Minutes: of the meeting of 8 January were amended. Paul Cruikshank’s number is 01844   238593  not 39

Matters Arising: The League has been told we are not allowed to play step 7 or above players, however the FA are unable to tell us at what step we presently play.  Berks and Bucks are investigating this for us.

Correspondence:

* We have received a letter from Oving, commending the Brill linesman for his honesty and sportsmanship in their recent game.

* Two more enquiries have been received about joining the league next season.

Fixtures Secretary’s Report

There are several problems with playing cup games, because of the weather and consequent state of pitches.  The cup matches have all now been scheduled.

With league games most clubs are managing to fulfil fixtures on an agreed pitch.

Referees Secretary’s Report

Referees have been sent a note about what to do in wet weather.

One referee has sent in an unofficial report about the conduct of one club, the secretary will write to them.

Two new referees have contacted Mike with a view to officiating.

Any Other Business

* The Chairman will speak to Aylesbury Wanderers about their future role in ADFL.

* Another suggested rule change has been submitted.  There will be a meeting on 26 February to discuss all proposed rule changes.  Any more proposed rule changes need to be received by the secretary before that date.

* The secretary will write to Berks and Bucks asking to be kept up to date with their decisions on suspensions, fines etc.

* Can League and Cup winners please start to make arrangements to get their trophies engraved ready for return to the league.

The meeting closed at 9.10 p.m. 

The next meeting was arranged for Wednesday March 5, 2014
