Minutes of the meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Committee held at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday 2 June 2021 via Zoom
Present: P Rice, K Dunnings, M Griffin, R Lipscombe, T Munt, N Sabatini, K Saw, A Skeggs, and M .
Apologies: Mrs M Stevens. Unable to access zoom M Pollard, and R Small.
The Minutes: of the meeting of 5 May 2021 were agreed.
The outstanding fines reported at the last meeting had been paid.
No correspondence had been circulated by the secretary, due to illness. Although, Aylesbury Hornets had informed the league that they would be appealing their fines and documentation had been circulated previously.
An email had been received from Andrew Swain of APBS FC thanking the ADFL committee for their hard work in getting the season completed.
An email had been received from Kevin Turnbull of Stoke Mandeville FC informing the committee that he would be standing down as secretary. The secretary had responded.
An email had been received from Tring Corinthians FC informing the committee that they would not be entering the league next season.
Registration Secretary’s Report
The chairman would speak to the Registration Secretary regarding the teams having to produce a “fourth” sheet from Full Time to have present at games. Clubs would be consulted on this at the AGM.
A question was asked whether paper registrations were required. It was felt that they were.
15th May – Long Marston v Utd. Long Marston played Ben Tee, who was not registered, but was shown as Dan Smith on the . awarded the match and Long Marston fined as per rules 18(O) and 21(A).
Fixtures Secretary’s Report
All the fixtures had been completed. The chairman wished to congratulate everyone; committee, clubs, players and referees for doing everything they could to get the season finished as planned. Well done.
Referees Secretary’s Report
Three referees would not be continuing next season. No new ones coming through at present. There had been a few difficult teams during the season, one in particular needed to change its attitude. This team would be invited in front of the committee before the start of next season.
Press / Results Secretary’s Report
It would help if teams could add the names of the goal scorers to Full Time when they enter the team sheet.
Any Other Business
2021/22 Season - There were two teams yet to return their 2021/22 Entry Forms - APBS, and Titans. Two new teams had submitted their applications – St Leonards and Tring Town Development. Quainton FC and Tring Corinthians FC would not be entering next season.
Aylesbury Hornets Appeal – The committee had considered the paperwork circulated and agreed that the fines should stand.
Kit Colours – The ADFL rules stipulate no black / dark blue kits. Aristocrat will be asked to bring their shirt to the AGM. The B&B are happy to allow any shirt colour as long as the referee’s shirt is of a different colour. The chairman was to clarify this.
New Team – Interviews would be held on the 10th June at the Tennis Club in Aylesbury.
Committee – Malcolm Pollard would be standing down from the committee at the AGM.
AGM – Clubs are requested to arrive around 7.15pm for a prompt 7.30pm start.
The next meeting would be the AGM on the 28th June 2021.
