ADL Committee Minutes - April 2021

Minutes of the meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Committee held at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday 31 March 2021 via Zoom

Present: P Rice, K Dunnings, M Griffin, Mrs M Harrison, R Lipscombe, T Munt, N Sabatini, K Saw, A Skeggs, Mrs M Stevens,.

Apologies: M Pollard, R Small, (unable to access Zoom) M Thoday

The Minutes: of the meeting of 3 March 2021 were agreed

Matters Arising:

A Special General Meeting was held on 19 March, and it was agreed to extend the playing season for this year to 12 June.


Wingrave may be in a position to offer their second pitch if needed for teams who have pitch issues.

Three clubs missed the SGM, Berryfields, Aylesbury Vale Dynamos and St Johns

F C Titans have withdrawn for the rest of the season as they cannot fulfil all their fixtures in the timescale.

Registration Secretary’s Report

There have been 3 emergency goalkeeper requests

Berryfields – Joshua Meachen who has played Sunday league previously, the current keeper is going to University.

Tring Corinthians Dev. – George Zamit who has not played for 2 years – current keeper is moving to Manchester

Long Marston FC - Charlie Sweeten who plays for Tring tornadoes U18

He is not registered with any other club. Current keeper not playing because of Covid 19.

All three requests were accepted by the Committee, however, they are only able to play in the position of Goalkeeper for the rest of the season. Their registration forms need to be completed and they cannot play until registered on WGS.

Fixtures Secretary’s Report

Fixtures have been completed up to 8th May

Referees Secretary’s Report

Kevin has sufficient referees ready for when games restart. lf teams do not follow the Covid 19 rules, referees have been asked to note this on the back of their match report. lf teams are persistently breaking rules Berks and Bucks will get involved.

An advert for new clubs went to the Bucks Herald this week

More recent history has been added and updated on the website

Will clubs send match reports, photos, and scorers and results to Marc as well as the auto FA full time text.

Any Other Business

Every team should have a one minute silence on 3rd and 10th April in memory of Toqeer Butt who played for Elmhurst.

The date of the AGM will be Monday 28 June at Rivets Sports and Social Club

Committee members will meet new teams on Thursday 10 June.

There have been several preliminary enquiries about entering teams for next season.

The meeting closed at 8.10 p.m.

The next meeting was arranged for 5 May 2021.
