ADL Committee Minutes - April 2019

 Minutes of the meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Committee held at 7.30 p.m. on

Wednesday 3 April 2019 at Aylesbury Tennis Club

The Minutes: of the meeting of 6 March 2019 were accepted 


Matters Arising: 

Fairford Leys football pitches may be in danger of closure because of HS2.  

The showers at Bedgrove have still not been mended.

Liz Verrall from Berks and Bucks will be attending our meeting in May, so if anyone has any questions, please let Margaret know.

South Midlands have approached all nearby leagues to find teams for their league.

Peter met Lisa Welling of Berks and Bucks FA to discuss several matters, including referees.

The proposed rules for next season were discussed and have been passed round to the clubs. 



Information from Berks and Bucks regarding becoming a Standard Charter club has been passed on to clubs.

Stoke Mandeville FC plan to run a reserve team next season.Aylesbury FC offered their club facilities for our Cup Final matches next season.  Peter will meet with their representative.A complaint has been received about the behaviour of teams at a match recently, Margaret will write to the clubs concerned. 

There have been six enquiries by possible new teams for next season.

Fixtures Secretary’s Report 

FIXTURES Premier Division going well. Very tight at top between APBS, Bedgrove Dynamos and   Thame FC. 

Division One – Close between Ayletico and Bedgrove United and FC BiertonDivision Two – Aylesbury Raiders have two important games against Tetsworth Res and Thame FC Res that could decide who wins this division.

Referees Secretary’s Report

All the games in March were covered by a badged official, however it is becoming more and more difficult to find referees.We have recently been made aware of the rapid increase of players/spectators involved in cannabis use. Having made inquiries the league are now aware of what powers referees have, and the process to follow, which will be explained to them at the 2019/2020 pre-season meeting Having received a racist report by a referee, both teams will be written to.  


Press/Results Secretary’s Report

Marc requires more photographs of teams in action.

Clubs still need to send in results and goal scorers for cup finals. 

Any Other Business

It was suggested that a Man of the Match be awarded at cup finals from next season.Officials are needed for the representative game – Kevin will deal with this.All clubs have been asked to suggest any players who would be willing and able to play at the reps. match.  Proceeds from the match will be given to charity, 50% by Aylesbury FC and 50% by ADFL.  We will donate our half between Burps – the intensive care unit at Stoke Mandeville and to Booker Park School.Nik will source the kit needed, Aylesbury FC will deal with the programmes. 

The meeting closed at 9.00.The next meeting was arranged for Wednesday May 1st 2019.
