Peter welcomed Steph Clark who is the new Communications Officer for Berks and Bucks. She had asked us to send an email with our thoughts and dissatisfaction with Berks and Bucks, which she addressed at the meeting.
GDPR – We were informed that neither the FA nor Berks and Bucks were in a position to give us constructive advice. Steph directed us to their solicitor’s website but we informed her that we did not find it helpful, so she suggested we pay for professional advice.
Disciplinary Action – We are concerned that we are not kept up to date with disciplinary action against our players or clubs. It was explained that we were not allowed to be informed of actions taking place, and Steph agreed to send us a written summary of the process.
Refereeing Courses – Several people had applied for refereeing courses to Berks and Bucks, but did not get a reply. The information and an application form can now be found on the Berks and Bucks website, however the current method of finding this is not simple, so Steph agreed to make it easier.
Contacts at Berks and Bucks – These can be found on the Berks and Bucks website, under the generic headings of Development, Services and Safeguarding. Steph agreed to expand on these headings in an email to us.
Steph was thanked for coming to the meeting and invited to return in a few months’ time.
