ADL Committee Minutes - June 2017


Minutes of the Meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Committee


Held at The Tennis Club Aylesbury on 7 June 2017 at 7.30 p.m




PRESENT: P Rice, Mrs M Harrison, R Lipscombe, M Pollard, K Saw, T Skeggs,


                 R Small, Mrs M Stevens, M Thoday.

THE MINUTES: of the meeting of 3 May were approved






It was agreed that an email be sent to Liz Verrall to ask for an explanation for the Stone United payments.


Long Crendon v New Zealand game – it was decided by County that both teams were guilty of misdemeanours.  Long Crendon are appealing to the FA, the hearing will be on 20 June.


Under the B&B proposed Cup re-structure, the ADL teams have two Cups they can enter.  Premier & Div One teams can enter the Saturday Intermediate Cup, Div Two and Div Three teams can enter the Saturday Junior Cup.  If a team in the ADL Premier Division feel they are strong enough they can enter the next Cup above the Senior Trophy.  Clubs are advised to go to the WGS website to decide which cup to enter.






Aylesbury Dynamos have a new secretary Mark Griffin  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..   There will be other secretary changes, these will be notified before the beginning of next season.


The AGM of Berks and Bucks FA will be held on Tuesday 20 June 2017.


Bierton Parish Council are offering  training on using a defibrillator on  Tuesday 6th and Tuesday 13 July, at the Jubilee Hall, Bierton, 7.30 free of charge.  Please contact Peter if you are interested in attending.

Marcie went to see Matt Pill concerning on-line registration and has adapted the wording.






Long Crendon are leaving the ADL, as are Mandeville FC


Three new teams have been accepted, Bucks Blues, Aylesbury Raiders and The Bell, Tring.  New teams will continue to be accepted until Midnight 31 July, with interviews taking place on Wednesday 2 August 9.00 p.m., to be elected at the EGM on Thursday 10 August at the Ex-servicemen’s club 7.30 p.m.


All teams must have a minimum of 14 registered players sent to Marcie by Midnight 6 August.






Kevin has yet to finalise the referees marks for the season.  There are a few new referees coming along for next season.


Referees are wanted for a few pre-season games, and Kevin would like them to contact him directly with their availability through August.






            Marc is in contact with AVDC about renting out a Meadowcroft pitch for


pre season.


Please can clubs send advert requests to members, whether it be for new players, friendlies or any other related needs






At the AGM is was asked if there would be any recognition for Danny Martone, who did a lot for local football.  Richard suggested that we have a game between the premiership winners and Aylesbury FC 11, with a cup to be awarded in Danny’s name and any profits to go to a charity of Danny’s family’s choice.  Peter will contact the relevant parties for their reaction.


Peter has been given minutes of the ADL dating back to 1920, he will try to find a home for them.


Peter will be seeing Mr Kitchen on Friday re: the website.


There was some confusion regarding the subsidiary cup, all details need to be worked out at the beginning of the season, in case there is another cup next season.


Mike Eldridge is standing down from Tring Athletic Football Club.


North Bucks are look for a new Fixtures Secretary.


Haddenham have a new first team manager.


Some teams do not have a second kit, if they would like to contact the committee we may be able to help.




The meeting closed at 9.20 p.m.  The next meeting was arranged for Wednesday 5 July, 2017.
