ADL Committee Minutes - June 2016

Minutes of the meeting of Aylesbury and District Football League Committee held at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday 1 June 2016 At Bucks CC Sports and Social Club

Present:P Rice, M Pollard,K Saw,T Skeggs, Mrs M Stevens,M Thoday.

Apologies were received from, D Bayliss, Mrs M Harrison,N Sabatini,R Small, A Swain

Chris Cole of Berks and Bucks was welcomed to the meeting.

Chris explained that he was the new competitions co-ordinator and he welcomed the chance to meet the leagues and get feedback.  His role does not impinge on what we do with our Cups, he only deals with those run by Berks and Bucks FA.

Peter informed him that we have clubs affiliated from four different counties, and whilst the other counties place their Grass Roots league Premiership teams in their Junior Cup, the Berks and Bucks FA choose to place theirs in the Intermediate Cup, against teams who are part of the FA Pyramid structure, which the Committee feels is grossly unfair

Chris felt that there was little that could be done for the forthcoming season, but he would go back and make enquiries and inform us of his progress.

The Minutes: of the meeting of 4 Maywere agreed with the amendment that the times for the AGM should have been Marsworth Cup at 7.30, Field Shield at 8.00 p.m. and ADFL at 8.30 p.m.

Any information that teams feel may be of interest, please pass to Marc for inclusion in the web page.

Any Other Business

Tring Town are withdrawing two teams.

Chinnor have enquired about entering a team but will not be doing so as it would be the third team and not their first team, and they were not prepared to separately affiliate.

A number of teams had yet to return their 2016/17 entry forms, these should be returned before the Annual General Meeting.

Matthew Pill has shown Margaret and Peter some details of the Whole Game System.  We have asked that a representative comes to give instruction to club secretaries in the near future but NOT before the FA produced an ‘Idiots Guide’ to WGS.

Agreement was reached that there would be NO separate Presentation Evening next season.   Trophies will be presented at the AGM, and individuals awards will be available to collect from a Committee member.
