ADL Committee Minutes - July 2016

Minutes of the Aylesbury & District Football League Management Committee Meeting held on 

Wednesday 13th July 2016at Bucks CC Sports & Social Club.

Officers Present: P.Rice (chair), A.Skeggs, M.Pollard, M.Thoday, R.Small, R.Lipscombe andN.Sabitini.

Apologies:A.Swain, D.Bayliss,M.Harrison, K.Saw& M.Stevens.

The minutes of 1st June were agreed as a true record.

Matters Arising:

  • The KennedyAll outstanding fines had been paid.

  • Premier Division Trophy – Had been reclaimed from Walton Court Wanderers.

  • Aylesbury Dynamos – Their home ground will be at Cuddington playing fields.

  • FA Full Time System – Still waiting to hear from Berks & Bucks regarding a representative coming to show clubs how to get the best from the system. Richard L to follow up with the B&B.


  • Email from Walton Court Wanderers FC withdrawing from the league.

  • Email from St Johns Sports FC withdrawing from the league.

  • Email from FC Spandits withdrawing their first team from the league.

Treasurer’s Report:

  • Income since last meeting £740, all in fines.

  • Expenditure £1,162 (Special Expense £900, Top Referee Award £100, AGM Room Hire £53, Website £56 and Cup Final expenses £53).

  • Balance now stands at £12,524.

  • Deposits stand at £3,175 following refunds to clubs and amounts taken to cover fines.

  • Treasurer to arrange f or the accounts to be audited.

Rule 14 (bi) Withdrawal from League – Fine £50.

Tring Town Amateurs, St Johns Sports and Walton Court Wanderers.


Fixture Secretary’s Report / Registration Secretary’s Report / Press Secretary’s Report

  • No reports.

Referee Secretary’s Report:

  • Seventeen registered referees.

  • Referees course in three weeks time. B&B want 24 people on the course.


Any Other Business:

  • League format / Cup EntriesThere was a discussion on the league format and the number of cups teams could enter. It was agreed that teams could enter five (5) cup competitions on the understanding that if there is bad weather over the winter period that more midweek games may be scheduled.

  • Handbook – This will be reprinted and, hopefully, ready for the secretaries meeting. Since the meeting it has been discovered that there are more changes than expected, which may delay the printing.

  • Berks & Bucks are looking into social media, twitter and facebook, for inappropriate comments, usually aimed at referees. 

  • Chairman Peter Rice had renewed his welfare certificate.

  • Next meeting – 3rd August 2016.
