Minutes of the Aylesbury & District Football League Executive Committee Meeting held on 2nd June 2010 at Bucks CC Sports & Social Club.

Officers Present :

P.Rice (chair), M.Edwards, A.Skeggs, M.Thoday, B.Goodman, J.Turnbull, J.Walker & M.Pollard.

Apologies :

M.Dobson, M.Sparkes, D.Bayliss & M.Harrison.

The minutes of 19th May were agreed as a true record.

Matters Arising :

·         The team sheets have had final alterations made to them.

·         There was no response to the ten pin bowling competition.

·         Peter Rice to contact possible alternative sponsor.

·         Respect Evening. Poorly attended but League to sign up to the campaign. Letter to be sent to all clubs and Secretary to obtain relevant literature.

·         Price still to be obtained for Assistant Referees flags.

·         Aylesbury Wolves withdrawing from the League (see Correspondence).

·         Mandeville will be continuing in the League but under new management.

·         Photo ID. League to proceed with this form of registration with effect from season 2011/2012. To be discussed at the Pre – season meeting.

·         Sparta Royals still under suspension. Club has been contacted.

·         Ken Lavender has not been paid yet. Aston Clinton to be contacted.

Correspondence:

·        New teams – FC Bedgrove and Aylesbury Wanderers. Both applying to join the League.

·        Anonymous letter querying eligibility of Chris Davies of Bierton. County cannot confirm this is the same player that is under suspension for another team, therefore he was clear to play.

·        Berk & Bucks – all proposed rule changes have been approved apart from one. Details will be sent out to all clubs with AGM literature.

·        Aylesbury Wolves – withdrawing from the League. £50 fine imposed to be deducted from deposit. County decision on abandoned match not yet made therefore deposit to be held until matter resolved.

Treasurer’s Report:

No change from last meeting.

Registration Secretary’s Report:

Not present.

Fixture Secretary’s Report:

Cancelled Matches:

22nd May. P&IC Utd v Lane End. Lane End unable to raise. Match awarded to P&IC Utd and Lane End fined £25.

27th May. Bucks CC V Hale Leys. Hale Leys unable to raise a side. Match awarded to Bucks CC and Hale Leys fined £25.

 

Referee Secretary’s Report:

John Turnbull reported that once the first few weeks of the season had passed, most matches had an official referee appointed. The approximate percentage of matches without a referee for the season was 10%.

Press Secretary’s Report:

No Telephone Result – Fined £10

25th May – Elmhurst.

Marc Thoday reported that the website is being updated ongoing.

Any Other Business:

·  Council to be contacted nearer the time with a date as to when pitches will be required for the new season.

·  It was proposed that referees be advised what their individual average mark was for the season in comparison with the overall average referees mark for the League. Danny Bayliss to be asked for the figures.

·  John Turnbull attended Haddenham’s Centenary dinner on 21st May.

·  Aston Park currently under County suspension.

·  Some application forms still to come in. Tony Skeggs to chase up.

·  AGM – Malcolm Pollard to chair in Peter Rice’s absence. Marc Thoday to provide voting cards. Awards for Best Referee, Best Linesman and Sportsmanship award to be obtained. Berkhamsted Sports and P&IC Utd to be asked to bring their County Cups to the AGM. Richard Lipscombe to be invited to award the trophies to the clubs. New teams to be seated together. ADL and Field Shield AGM’s to be concluded before Clubs invited to meet with the Committee.
